DESIGN PROGRESS (LAYOUT)

This are just a new layout of the plans scaled down. I wonder what I should put in the visual corridor  (from the first level to fourth) since is big enough to accommodate an space through out the all its levels. Also the floor of the corridor continues to shift.

  1. Hello, Yerina.
I don't think that you need any new spaces and functions because the building program you already have is more than adequate. Have you considered the possibility of re-organizing / re-arranging parts of your floor plans? Take a 15-minute break and some tracing paper and try it by sketching over your existing layout diagrams. You may be surprised from the results.

  2. Yerina, I believe you still have a lot of circulation space. Also do not forget to show what is above, and what is below in each floor plan. That way you can start playing with positive and negative space.
As far as the sketch is concerned, I am curious why the Brooklyn Bridge. This is a boutique hotel in Red hook.
I want to see further development of that idea

    1. So here is my issue: if i make the circulation smaller in the second and third level the entry for rooms in the corners will disappear. So ill have a blank space. And the fourth level wont cantilever. Also I am concerned that I'll end up not having enough guest rooms.

  3. But I am still working on it. Trying to see what's better.
